SEE REHEARSAL SCHEDULE POSTED AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE

Due to limited space during dress rehearsal, we ask that no more than 2 adults accompany their dancer to dress rehearsal. This is not an open event to the public. All siblings MUST stay with parents and MUST be supervised at all times.

There will be NO CLASSES HELD the week of June 8-12 due to Dress Rehearsals, Rigging and Tech.

Please have the correct HAIR, TIGHTS, SHOES, ACCESSORIES, and MAKEUP for dress rehearsal.

On dress rehearsal day, please head into the theatre upon arrival. There will be plenty of seats for each dancer to find a place for their items and parents to grab a seat and watch. Dancers and Aerialists may use the bathroom just outside the theatre to change. Please be aware that we are running on an EXTREMELY tight schedule and we cannot hold performance runs if performers are missing. Please account for traffic and other emergencies. We also require dancers to be in the audience and ready to perform at least 15-20 mins ahead of your scheduled time.

Please have your dancers gather with their class in the auditorium and be dressed and ready to dance 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time.

  • For dancers: If you would like to have photos of your dancer taken, please plan to arrive a minimum of 30 minutes early or plan to stay a little late as there can be lines for the photos. We cannot hold on-stage rehearsals for dancers in line waiting for photos, so we kindly ask you to plan ahead.

  • For Aerialists: Photos will be taken of your aerialists while they are running their piece onstage.

  • We will have teachers backstage assisting with dance photos, and there will be very limited space. If your dancer is 7 or older, we kindly ask parents to wait in the auditorium rather than go backstage with dancers for photos.

Photography

We’re excited to share that Irvin Simon Photographers will be onsite during our Finale Showcase rehearsals on June 11th and 12th, offering the opportunity to have professional photos taken of your dancer in costume and in action!

Photos will be taken during both rehearsal days, and families will receive a link to view and purchase images shortly afterward.

Learn more about the photographers here: www.irvinsimonphoto.com

Please note:

  • This is completely voluntary—participation is not required in any way.

  • On show day, parents and loved ones are welcome to take their own photos and videos from their seats.

  • However, for the safety of our performers, flash photography is strictly prohibited during the performance.

This is a great chance to capture high-quality memories of your dancer’s big moment, but again, it's entirely optional.

Here are the details:

  • The photographer will set up INSIDE the auditorium for ALL OF OUR AERIAL performances. He will photograph our aerialists as they run their routines under our show lighting.

  • There will be photography set up (location TBD) for all dancers and tumblers. Please be sure to arrive early or be prepared to stay a bit after your performer has completed their dance(s) and get your photo taken in costume!

  • DURING THE SHOW: We WILL allow photography to be taken during the show, however, for the safety of all of our dancers, tumblers, and aerialists, ALL FLASHES MUST BE TURNED OFF. Any sudden flashes that occur from the audience can put the safety of our performers in jeopardy.

Hair should be parted in the middle, pulled back slick using hair gel and hairspray. Twist into bun (works best when wet) and secure with hair tie. Using hair pins/bobby pins, secure in place. add a hairnet to avoid fly-away hairs.

Please start with center part, then secure in ponytail with a hair elastic. Braid hair and secure with another hair elastic.

Please start with center part, then secure in pony tail with a hair elastic. Braid hair and secure with another hair elastic.

Center Part Low Braid:

3/4 Combo, Pre/Pre/Jr. Dancers: High Bun

You’ll want to use lots of gel and hairspray to eliminate all loose hair.

Makeup Tutorial

The below video is intended to give dancers and parents a basic outline for stage makeup. This is our Competitive Team (TNC) makeup and is not required for the Finale Showcase. You can do as much or as little as you would like. This is just the recommended makeup that will look nice under our stage lights. **Note, This video was made during Covid and masks were being worn. Please be advised that you’ll want to add blush and lipstick now. Lipstick colors can vary, but our recommendation is for Combo, Pre and level 1/2 dancers to wear a brighter red lipstick. For levels 3,4 and 5 we recommend a darker red/burgundy lipstick.
