THE NEWMAN Company 2024/2025 Mini & Petite Troupe!

THE NEWMAN’S Mini and Petite Troupes are competitive groups of dancers with an average age of 6 and under for Mini and 7 & 8 for Petite.

Our Mini/Petite Troupe will compete at 3 regional competitions throughout our 2024 competitive season. 

All competitions are local to the Baltimore/DC area.

There is a $25 Audition Fee for each Mini/Petite Troupe Dancer

Requirements of our Mini and Petite Troupes:

•  A weekly Ballet and Tap/Jazz class (depending on dancers age)

  3 and 4 years old- 3/4 Combo Class (Ballet/Tap)

  5 and 6 years old- Pre Ballet and Pre Jazz (or Pre/Junior classes in the same genres.)

  7 and 8 years old- Ballet 1 and Jazz 1

• A 60 minute weekly rehearsal where your dancers will learn and practice the Jazz and Ballet or Jazz and Lyrical dances (whichever their troupe is assigned) that they will compete with.

• *Select Saturday Rehearsals from 10:30-11:30 if your dancer chooses to participate in the TNC Production Dance

Tuition:

Weekly required recreational class (depending on dancers age):

• (3/4 Combo $60/month)

• (Pre Ballet $45/month)

• (Pre Jazz $45/month)

• (Ballet 1 $80/month)

• (Jazz 1 $80/month)

  Weekly 60 minute choreography rehearsal

• ($80/month)

• *TNC Production is an additional $25/month

  
  

Fee:

• Company Member Fee: (This fee is a one time a year fee used as administration and choreography fees, as well as fees to pay to have coaches/choreographers present at each competition.)

Costume Fees: 

• It is always our goal to keep costume prices down, however we understand the importance of costumes with regards to competitive scoring. We will not exceed $105 per costume for each dance. We will also make every effort possible to stay below this $105 mark.

• *Additional $105.00 fee for TNC Production Costume

• Please note that there is also a 6% Maryland Sales Tax fee that will also b added to your costume invoice.

Competition Fees:

• Each competition sets their own fees for solos, duets, trios and groups. All fees are transparent and posted directly on their websites. Group dances will run roughly between $60-$75 per entry. Duets/Trios roughly between $65-$80 per entry. Solos will run roughly between $95-$110 per entry.

*Additional Information:

Any dancer that makes our Mini/Petite Troupe has the option to compete in our Full Team TNC Production pending they can fulfill the following requirements: *Please note that our Full Team Production dance is NOT required of Mini/Petite troupe.

• Dancers in our Full Team Production dance MUST be able to compete at all 4 regional competitions.

• Dancers in our Full Team Production dance MUST be able to attend our Saturday Production dance rehearsals 2 Saturdays a month 10:30-11:30am (please see TNC handbook for Saturday dates.)

*Company Jackets and Gear:

We will have Team Jackets and T shirts available for purchase. Mini/Petite Troupe dancers are required to wear either a team jacket or t-shirt onstage at each regional awards ceremony. Jackets run around $100 each, and T-shirts run around $25 each.
